Artist: BOBBY TIMMONS TRIO
Title: “Born to Be Blue!”
Label: RIVERSIDE. Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl. Label is blue with silver text, does not have deep groove. Catalog number is RLP 468.
Year: 1963.
Personnel: Bobby Timmons – piano; Sam Jones or Ron Carter – bass; Connie Kay – drums.
Note: This album comes from an extremely well cared-for jazz collection where the original owner cherished his albums, played them once or twice at most, and stored them under optimal conditions. This is a wonderful opportunity for the discriminating collector who insists on top condition.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, as clean as can be found. The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster, perhaps played once. Plays flawlessly with superb fidelity. Labels are clean and pristine with no spindle trail marks.
JACKET: Jacket is nice VG+ to VG++. Front is beginning to show a fw traces of ring wear, and there is a some wear spots beginning to appear along bottom seam. Reverse has darkened slightly with age, but is free of any writing, stickers, cutout indications, or other flaws. Overall a very nice jacket to accompany the lovely disc.
