Label:   MAINLINE RECORDS (DC private label).  Stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl.   Label is dark blue with silver text.   Catalog number is 12747.

A true modern soul masterpiece that combines the amazingly talented production-writing-arranging team of Willie Lester and Al Johnson, with the awesome voice of Bobby Thurston.

Year:  1978. 

Condition: 

DISC:  This is a difficult disc to assign a grade.  Vinyl retains 100% of original gloss, indicating that the album has been played sparingly.  There are a few light hairline marks that produce several soft to moderate audible ticks on the first 30-40 seconds of Track 1 on both sides ("Flash" and “Treat Me the Same Way").  There are also a few isolated audible soft ticks elsewhere on the LP, otherwise it is a very nice playing LP with no jarring pops, clicks, skips, or other issues.  If it were not for the aforementioned flaws, the album would grade nice VG+ to VG++.    Fidelity is clean and crisp.  Labels are clean.  A nice playing copy if you prefer not to spend the $400+ required to obtain a mint one, but not perfect.  Of course, you have my usual full complete guarantee of satisfaction, the same as with all the records I sell.    

I have included two sound clips – one for each side – which provide excerpts from the first portion of each track on the LP, allowing you to judge the sound quality.   They have not been edited in any way (except for the fade-outs at the end of each snippet) so you will hear them exactly as they will sound on your phonograph.  To listen, simply click the button on the eCommerce Player icon at the top of the description.       

JACKET:  Jacket is VG to VG+ with obvious signs of wear and handling, but still quite serviceable.   There is ring wear and surface wear on both front and reverse from storage and handling.  Also, wear along seams and spine, including approx 4 inch split at bottom center.  Corners have been bumped.  No writing, stickers, or cutout indications.
