This auction is being re-listed since the winner did not want to complete the transaction, I have added some new information and description now as to the authenticity of this item, I can also provide the name of the industry person this acetate was bought from upon request, if you are not sure, please ask me a question before putting a bid on this item, I do not appreciate time wasters, I CAN GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY OF THIS ACETATE 100% AND DO NOT LIST ANYTHING IF I AM NOT 100% SURE ABOUT IT.

What you have here is probably one of the ULTIMATE Bob Dylan items, offered for the first time for sale !!!

This is ONE OF THE ONLY SURVIVING UK ACETATES (if not the only one) of BOB DYLAN live in 1966 version of "Like A Rolling Stone", with the famous "Judas" and the reply from Dylan "I don't believe you....."incident - from the 1966 live at the Royal Albert Hall concert with The Band.
The acetate came from a radio person in his late 60's who was working for one of the main radio station in LONDON at the time (as a matter of fact I have a few other unique acetates by other acts to be auctioned in the next few weeks).
As you know this was not released at the time, but was recorded and only a handful of these acetates were made so that radio station might play them if they so wished to.
The acetate is also in MONO plays at 33 1/3 RPM and to top it all - it is timed at 8 minutes and 20 seconds !!! much longer then any later releases of this which I was told lasted about 8 minutes 1 second (a version on a CD release from 2002), this is longer by 19 seconds or so, SO THIS IS AN UNRELEASED MONO, LONGER VERSION OF THE FAMOUS "LIKE A ROLLING STONE" LIVE IN 1966 at THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL" !!!!
I have been asked about the pink writing on the label and after a phone call to the original owner can now tell you that the acetate was rushed to the station by CBS records to promote Dylan's live shows and the information was written by the station head of music so that presenters who play it on the radio know who the artist is the length of the song and all other relevant information (if this was a bootleg would I really be stupid enough to write it like that, I am a collector of 60's psych and garage music first and most and I know how most acetates look like, I have seen many over the years, some are printed some are written in pen, some in white marker but this one was written in pink....), I was also a head of music in a radio station for over 20 years and can tell you that even in recent years the length of songs and other relevant information was written by hand on CD's and vinyl, so that presenters have all the information they need in front of them.

I have spoken to many Dylan fans and collectors and as far as I was told, this is THE ONLY KNOWN COPY OF THIS UNIQUE ACETATE !!!! LET'S JUST SAY THAT THOSE COLLECTORS SAID THEY ARE READY TO BID ON THIS !!!
The acetate is on the famous EMIDISC made in Hayes Middlesex, Gt. Britain and the condition is a beautiful STRONG VG to VG+ with only very minor scuffs which do not effect play NO SCRATCHES !!! The labels have slight yellowing from age but are still very clear and nice as you can see from the photos !!!

DON'T LET THIS BOB DYLAN ULTIMATE ACETATE get away as you will never see another and especially not in this condition.

I have added photos of other acetates I bought from the same person to prove the authenticity of the item, ALL UNIQUE, some I already sold on Ebay and some are still to come:
3 different Fairport Convention demo acetates for their first 1968 album, all different versions, these are yet to come for sale in the future.
The Hollies Acetate is a different version of the track later released by Polydor.
The Slade acetate is of a song which was never released as a single, and is different from the album version.
The Apple acetate (of which I had 4 of) were all unreleased demos by unknown artists.
This is just a small example of what I bought, a lot of the stuff I kept for my own collection, but the stuff I did not care much for (including the Dylan acetate) I have been, and will be selling on Ebay.

Looking under very strong light I have just noticed there is another EMIDISC label under the one with pink writing that gives the information: Bob Dylan, Like A Rolling Stone and Live - in black writing, obviously this information did not give all the details needed to play the acetate on air, like length of track and speed (33rpm) hence another label was added on top with all the relevant information for airplay written on it clearly.
