Encouraged by the strong positive reaction to his confident - and good humoured debut lp, Robert Zimmerman aka 'Dylan' had a new bunch of songs, more pointed and observant than before, and very much conscious of the times now that the US was becoming deeply involved in another war in Asia. Thus we hear a mix of political and protest-oriented tunes mixed among the love songs.
There was a politic in the culture of beatnik objection - quite rightly so too. Bob was among a group of like minds who were not going to take it in silence (as S&Gs brilliant and underestimated protest paean brilliantly stated). Some poets were 'woke', as was right to be!
This record is delightful in the observations and loveable humour too, as Bob is renowned for in this period.
CONDITION;
The VINYL is with good shine. I can grade this NEAR MINT playing SUPREMELY - a 'deep groove' pressing on solid vinyl.
A couple of pressing 'shadows' that don't affect the playback whatsoever
Classic rough textured matt Orange '33' Labels are in clean NEAR MINT condition.
The Single card LAMINATED FLIP-BACK COVER is VG+, light surface wear, no splits, or pen. There's general handling wear, no splits and the spine is clean and clear.
