Encouraged by the strong positive reaction to his confident - and quite good humoured - debut lp, Bob Zimmerman aka 'Dylan' had a new bunch of songs, more pointed and observant than before, and very much conscious of the times now that the US was becoming deeply involved in another war in Asia. Thus we hear a mix of political and protest-oriented tunes mixed among the love songs.
There was a politic in the culture of beatnik objection - quite rightly so too. Bob was among a group of like minds who were not going to take it in the sound of silence (as S&Gs brilliant and underestimated protest paean brilliantly spoke).
Some poets and entertainers were 'woke', as was right to be so.
CONDITION;
The VINYL is with good shine. I can grade this VG++ playing well - a 'deep groove' pressing on solid vinyl.
A few marks that don't affect the playback, though this is a quiet production and some light crackle can be discerned.
Classic bright grainy matt Orange Labels are in clean EXCELLENT condition.
The Single card LAMINATED FLIP-BACK COVER is VG++, a respectable example, lightest surface wear but flat and no splits, or pen.
