BOB DYLAN - PASSED OVER AND ROLLING THUNDER - VINTAGE, RARE 2 LP SET - NEAR MINT!
The Amazing Kornyphone Label, TAKRL 2982 1976
This unofficial 2-LP set, released in 1976 a few months after the close of the fall portion of Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue, is a compilation that incorporates performances from one Rolling Thunder Revue show and, the Salute to John Hammond TV special from that same period, with three alternate takes from the original Blood On The Tracks recording sessions, plus the five tracks from Dylan's infamous 1965, Newport, Rhode Island performance where he first "went electric" at the folk festival, creating a major audience and media "freak-out."
These discs constitute the first edition release of this set, with the rather amateur packaging and presentation that was universal back in the early Seventies: plain cardboard sleeve with 2-color printed cover sheets, plain white inner sleeves, and in this case, black labels printed with "Worlds Records" and track lists that have nothing to do with the actual material. The sound quality, however, is actually pretty good!
The vinyl is in very near mint condition - just a couple of very minor sleeve marks and one extremely light scratch on just one side - you have to examine the records very closely to notice it.
The rough white cardboard cover shows a bit of aging, but the printed inserts are in perfect condition.
Set comes in a protective plastic outer sleeve.
