BOB DYLAN – BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND b/w DON’T THINK TWICE, IT’S ALL RIGHT - WHITE LABEL PROMO WITH RED PRINT - Columbia 4-42856 (U.S. 45 rpm Mono). Disc is VG++; Labels are Near Mint Plus and Super Clean!!!
Bob Dylan’s second single release (first was “Mixed Up Confusion”) came with a promotional outer sleeve written by Columbia Records and a label featuring black print against a white background. The subsequent promo issue (this one) came with the same White Label, but with Red Print and the standard 4-42856 Columbia catalog number added to the label text. Original promo issues show only the JZSP catalog number in black print. Despite the addition of the 4-42856 catalog number and red print, this White Label Promo is still considered to be a fairly rare Dylan collectible. [Due to their faster turning speed and wider groove spread, 45 rpm pressings exhibit more detailed playback than LP pressings, which turn slower and feature more compacted groove spread.] For additional information on this release, please go to: http://www.searchingforagem.com/1960s/MonoSingles1960s_1.htm.
All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer (unless factory sealed). Discs are packaged separately from sleeves to protect against seam splitting. Sleeves are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and both disc and sleeve are shipped in 7” EP/45-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap or hard cardboard.
I grade conservatively and by Goldmine standards.
