Here it is, ladies and gentlemen: The emperor of all singer-songwriters albums, Bob Dylan's very finest hour and one of two or three most important, creative, subversive, ingenuous, inspired and mind-intriguing albums ever - EVER - recorded. Just listening to the cascading rhymes of Bob Dylan's surreal poetry over jazzy, bluesy, folksy and rocking instrumental backing (provided courtesy of Al Kooper, The Band and some of the finest studio musicians of the day) makes our heart skip a few beats. Track listing? Do you really need one? And, oh…one more thing…this is the brutally rare MONO original pressing, which is THE ONLY legitimate way to listen to this classic album. Compared to mono, stereo mix sounds like a disgrace. Mixes are considerably more different, much more raw, direct and more vital  than on the common, stereo release. Miss it and you might have to spend another few years searching for another copy.  The good news is that the second record is STILL SEALED, but the setback is that the second record has been unsealed, but is in STRONG NEAR MINT CONDITION. In short, the album is only PARTIALLY SEALED, BUT EVEN SO, THIS MAY BE THE LAST ONE YOU WILL EVER FIND!

(a)          THE RECORD # 2 IS STILL FACTORY SEALED AND IS BELIEVED TO BE PERFECTLY MINT. Please note: sealed items are assumed to be mint and are sold as-is, as we have no way of inspecting them. For our policy on still sealed records ►click here (PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING A BID).

(b)          THE RECORD # 1 IS  STRONG NEAR MINT, PROBABLY UNPLAYED. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(c)           The records are pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          The records come in their original inner, perforated plastic baggies, which have - apparently with success - shielded the records from the harmful impact of elements over many years!

(e)           Mono pressing of this title is much rarer, and by far more  preferable to its stereo counterpart. We think that the mix is more natural, humane, "organic" and that the mixes are somewhat different than on the stereo version. We estimate that stereo copies of this album outnumber mono pressings by a ratio of at least 10:1.

(f)            Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++.

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2 (front side) and 3 (back side)

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the spine (nothing significant)

-         Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine

-         Back cover has a tiny, barely visible peel-off mark, probably from the careless removal of the price sticker (less than 1/64th square inch in size).

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.

-        No glue traces or wax residue.
