BO STREET RUNNERS
" DRIVE MY CAR / SO VERY WOMAN "
Original 45 on the COLUMBIA RECORDS lable cat# DB 7901 Vintage 29th April 1966
Here's a cool Mod Beat single that should have sold better, but perhaps the multitudes of BEATLES cover versions diluted the impact this could have made (?)
It's a well delivered and snappy happy version, and made better still by Mike 'Too Much' Patto on confident assured vocals. He was fast becoming a talent at the time, and matured with Timebox not too much later ('Beggin' becoming a better known song only recently!).
The band had a few singles under their belt already, as well as an independently issued EP that they handed out at their gigs.
Accomplished but obscure, a great band now recognized by discerning and knowledgeable collectors of great sixties sounds. This would go down well at revival dance clubs too.
The vinyl is in ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING NEAR MINT condition, top FULL shine and playing loud and clear!
The labels are NM superclean with no writing or stickers
Don't miss this rare copy of a VERY scarce issue!
