RARE Sheet Music for '64 UK MOD/BEAT 45!
as issued on DECCA RECORDS LABLE in vintage 1964

RARE SHEET MUSIC from their debut DECCA release after winning the READY STEADY GO competition for Rediffusion TV.

Named after the earliest police force ever in the world, this gang looked more like the lads the rozzers might be chasing!
However, a great Mod Beat band they were, and after a self-made EP of R'n B classics they entered the competition and took the prize of a recording contract on Decca. I believe Mike 'Too Much' Patto joined shortly after this, as did Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac fame.
One of the few places to find an actual picture of these fresh-faced chaps, and in their best Mod threads.

The sheet is of two main pages, includes lyrics of course.
It's in EXCELLENT shape with no tears, very little signs of wear, clean and bright!
Surely one of the very rarest of items from their history - and VERY special in this BEAUTIFUL condition!!
