Item: Blues Magoos - Psychedelic Lollipop

Catalog:  Mercury SR 61096

Cover Condition Check:

Vinyl Condition Check: STILL SEALED

Date of Issue:  1966

You are viewing a very rare copy of the Blues Magoos LP "Psychedelic Lollipop" - Original Copy of the 1966 LP Mercury # SR 61096 - I purchased this record with some other original records all from the same era - This is a super rare first pressing of Psychedelic Lollipop, recorded on the Mercury Label in Stereo. The cover itself is in great shape and the record itself is still factory sealed (see photos) - The 45 year old, thick album cover is in excellent condition and will be a winner in the Music Room. There is no real discoloration, ring wear, tape, tears, writing or wrinkles, just some very light foxing in the corners. The liner notes in back are clean. The record itself is still sealed and has never been opened.

Perhaps one of the greatest psychedelic rock albums of all time and based on the Goldmine guide, the album cover is graded Mint , and the record a strong NM. A must for any Blues Magoos LP or Vintage Rock 'n Roll LP Collector - NO RESERVE!

GRADING GUIDELINES!

(NM or NM-) NM records are shiny with no visible defects such as writing, stickers or needle marks on the labels. The album cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or any signs of human handling. It also will have no ring wear.

(VG+) or (Excellent) May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK.show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. The cover might be marred by a cutout marking, small hole punch, a cut in the spine or a promotional stamp and even a tiny bit of ring wear.

(VG) Have more obvious flaws such as lack of gloss, groove wear, light scratches and needle marks. When played there will be surface noise that will not overpower the music overall. Noise in the passages, between songs is common. The cover may have minor seam splits, writing, tape, stickers, ring wear and scuffs.

(VG-) Is just a compounding of the VG category. Many obvious flaws but if the record is rare, may very well be worthwhile. I usually do not list records lower than the above grades.

Please remember when you are bidding, most of these records are usually 40-50+ years old and have been out of print for a very long time. When you consider that, damage, loss, and normal use or wear has reduced the market to the point that few of these wonderful treasures are even available today.
