Description

    The Jazz Messengers
"At The Cafe Bohemia", Vol. 1
Kenny Dorham (tp) Hank Mobley (ts) Horace Silver (p) Doug Watkins (b) Art Blakey (d)
"Cafe Bohemia", NYC, November 23, 1955
Original BLUE NOTE Lp pressing, #1507,
BLUE NOTE BLP 1507, Blue White Label, Double Sided Deep Groove, and with the Lexington Address, RVG, EAR stamped in the dead wax, no INC no "R", Made in USA. FLAT Lip Edge! Made in USA 1955   The vinyl shows some light checking visually in the surface and one short needle line that ticks very lightly at the beginning of side one for a minute or two, otherwise it plays superbly with very little surface noise, it looks VG+ but it sounds closer to near mint, just few light background ticks, a beautiful sounding pressing! The cover has light ring wear on the back paste-on (which has some small tears at the dges) and slightly dented corners. Very light edge wear all around, no splits, writing on the back at the top corner in pen, VG+ (see pictures).
