BLUE MITCHELL “Heads Up!” RVG, Liberty, First Pressing Blue Note BST 84272 Vinyl

This is the 1968, first edition, “VAN GELDER” stamped pressing of BLUE MITCHELL’s “Heads Up!” on the “Liberty” labels of Blue Note BST 84272.  Musicians include Blue Mitchell, Burt Collins, Jerry Dodgion, Junior Cook, Pepper Adams, Julian Priester, McCoy Tyner, Gene Taylor, Al Foster. A powerful and exciting large ensemble performance, state of the art 1968.

VINYL plays beautifully, quietly, with excellent dynamics, tone and clarity. Ensemble sections are full toned and strong. No skips. Very Good gloss. Vinyl surface clean, spic and span! The “Liberty” labels are clean, spindle wear. See photos.

COVER is in OK shape. Corners worn. Ringwear. Seams and Spine show much wear but no splits. See photos. Back jacket shows tape, tape residue, tears. Please see photos.

   

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
