BLOSSOM TOES - WE ARE EVER SO CLEAN - MARMALADE 607001.
Here's the very rare and brilliant album from Blossom Toes. Sadly, it's not in the greatest of conditions and I'd recommend only buying this as a filler. Here's why. I made these notes while listening to it after cleaning it.
Track 1 minor crackle, Track 2 plays nice but crackles in the quiet parts, odd click, Track 3 as above, Track 4 very crackly on intro, Track 5 crackly, Track 6 sticks at the end (didn't stick second time I played it) and so on...that's side one. Side two isn't as bad, especially towards the end, but again it does have surface noise on most tracks. When you examine the record it looks as if it maybe got scraped on the floor at some time but it retains it's gloss and doesn't actually look too bad - I'm just trying to be as honest as possible with my description. To sum up - when the music is loud, it's fine, but in the quiet parts, it's crackly - I will send up some sound samples so you can have a listen.
The cover is in quiet nice shape, it has a little browning from age and a tiny name written front top ("Jane"), but no rips or creases apart from a few laminate creases near the spine...the reverse is in nice shape too. Labels are spotless.
All in all I'd say cover VG++ and record VG.
