BLIND FAITH..BLIND FAITH..RARE UK 1ST ISSUE, POLYDOR No 583059. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail Signed For® 2nd Class.
This is your chance to own an original 1969 early first UK pressing of the Blind Faith - Blind Faith vinyl LP on the Polydor label, 583059, with the iconic and controversial front cover which was initially banned in America (https://vintagenewsdaily.com/mariora-goschen-the-young-girl-featured-on-the-controversial-blind-faith-album-cover-in-1969/).
Blind Faith was initially formed by Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood and joined later by bassist Ric Grech and drummer Ginger Baker to make this first, self titled, album released in August 1969.
Condition is Used.
This record has been kept in a cool dry cupboard and un-played for well over 40 years having been purchased by me in the 1970s and then carried off to university and subsequent houses in a record box.
I have not played it, to check track quality, as I no longer have a respectable turntable fearing that one of today's modern USB record decks would act more like a plastic milling machine. My comments below are therefore based on a close visual inspection only. I have not cleaned the disc.
Disc:
Side A:
The label is in good condition with only slight, minimal, rubbing to the central spindle hole and no spindle rub marks.
The disc surface is in excellent visual condition with no visible scratches. There is some surface dust with only a few dirt flecks and partial fingerprints on the outer run in track. The Matrix / Runout is stamped 583059 A//1 ?420 11 13.
Side B:
The label is in good condition with no rubbing to the central spindle hole and only a few light spindle rub marks in the centre.
The disc surface is in excellent visual condition with no visible scratches. There is some surface dust, a few dirt spots on the lead in and runout and fingerprints. The Matrix / Runout is stamped 583059 B//1 ?420 1 1 28.
The photographs hopefully give some idea of the condition of the vinyl disc.
Sleeve:
The sleeve is in good overall condition with no tears, minimal creasing and some age related discolouration.
Cover:
The gatefold cover is in very good condition with no impression marks or writing; there is a small, approximately 6mm square, yellow sticker in the upper left front corner, see photograph. The cardboard is smooth, clean and "crisp" with only minimal rubbing and wear to the bottom edges and corners; the spine shows a little more wear but is still sound. The cardboard on the inside left of the inner gatefold shows some age related brown discolouration; the right hand side is in excellent clean condition with no creasing or marks.
Please inspect the photographs carefully.
For shipping I will place the record in plastic wrapping and pack in double stiff corrugated packaging.
