Original Stereo LP, Vertigo 'swirl' label 847 903 VTY, Australian 1st pressing 1972, gatefold cover.
Up for auction is the self-titled debut album by Black Sabbath recorded in 1970 but not released in Australia until 1972. This is an original 'swirl' Vertigo label Australian first pressing ,with 1y and 2y in the runoff groove on each side respectively,and gatefold cover (white writing on black background within upside-down cross, Dunbar credit for 'Warning').

CONDITION:
Record: VG+ . This record plays great with excellent dynamics. There are a few surface sleeve scuffs plus the occasional surface mark but these do not affect playability. The sound quality of this powerful album is great, with background surface noise(very minimal) only being heard between tracks and during the quietest passages. The album has excellent gloss/sheen. Labels are very clean with only a few inconspicuous spindle marks and ageing spots present. There is no biro or pen written on the labels.
Cover: VG+ . Cover in very good condition overall with colours still very vibrant. Front cover in excellent condition without visible ringwear, just some very minor creasing near the middle of the spine. Corners, upper and lower edges and cover opening all very clean and crisp. Spine showing very little wear, with artist/title/label and catalogue number all very legible. Black inner gatefold showing some signs of ink-loss, mainly on the right-hand side where some minor ring-wear is evident. Rear cover showing slight ringwear, plus some creasing on lower right left hand corner and near top of spine. No pen or biro on either front or back cover.
In summary, an extremely well looked-after copy of an original Australian 1st pressing 1972 Vertigo 'swirl' label Black Sabbath debut album!
