BLACK SABBATH-BLACK SABBATH--VERY 1ST UK ORIGINAL-SWIRL

	£ 255
	$		338

Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years. My main interest has been PROGRESSIVE especially the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL LABEL, reputed to be the most collectable label in the world?

I have finally finished my SWIRL collection of over 160 albums of which most are UK pressings, and now I am going to SELL them ( I must be mad ). I have been quite fussy about the QUALITY, CONDITION and they must be the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. The latter has been the hardest to decipher and has had me buying and selling many copies of the same album to achieve this, and I almost have with these collectable gems.

I am now selling another..YES another set of UK swirl VERTIGO albums. PLEASE read the descriptions carefully as some of the albums are NOT very first pressings and some will be VERY FIRST white label promo's. But ALL are GENUINE UK SWIRL PRESSINGS.

I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWESOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.

SO HERE WE GO.......

For sale here is -BLACK SABBATH--BLACK SABBATH--UK ORIGINAL  PRESSING. 1970, stereo VO6 The very 5th of 88 UK pressings on this label. MORE WILL FOLLOW!

SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD and UN-LAMINATED. THESE VERY FIRST ORIGINAL PRINTED SLEEVES WERE MADE FROM A VERY COURSE GRADE OF CARD BOARD WHICH GIVES THE SURFACE AN UN-EVEN LOOK AND FEEL. THIS IS ONLY SEEN ON THE VERY FIRST PRESS SLEEVES. The edges are N/MINT with NO SPLITS.  The front is in great condition  with  NO UNWANTED WRITING, NO STICKERS, NO CREASES and NO RING-WEAR . The rear of the sleeve is in the same EX+ condition with just some very light creases top right corner. The inner gatefold is graded as EX with some moderate creasing, and contains the all important first printing script in the warning using the word 'STEREO' instead of the intended word VERTIGO. There are other font/script variations but this is the easiest way to spot the very first printed sleeves ( please see close-up photo'). The opening edges are in lovely N/MINT condition. There is only minor spine colour fade caused by exposure to sun light, and the information is clear and un-damaged, there is wear and a little 'dink' creasing to the tips of the corners. This album comes with an ORIGINAL SWIRL INNER SLEEVE . All in all this is in very respectable condition for a 38year old UN-LAMINATED sleeve. EX.

LABELS.....There is NO unwanted writing, stickers, residue or tears. There are moderate spindle marks on either side, this album has obviously been well played, EX/EX. VERY FIRST PRESS WITH ' A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT' AT THE BASE OF HE B-SIDE LABEL.

VINYL..... This is NOT a MINT album . When you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can see LOTS of light surface hair lines but only 1 or 2 scratches(Please view the picture showing the worst of this marking)which do not stand out from the music and can only be heard in the quiet parts (of which there are very few on this superb album). As with each and every one of the albums I sell, I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK and the sound is UN-WORN. It is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo separation. There are dust crackles that can only be heard in the quiet parts of the music or between tracks, but a professional clean could help sort out some of that. These HEAVY VINYL original pressings are second to none. Although this is a well played and marked copy it is by no means at the end of it's playing life, It really does still sound fresh.  VG+/VG+.

A TRULY GREAT ALBUM  WHICH IS GETTING VERY RARE WITH  ORIGINAL 'A PHILLIPS RECORDS PRODUCT'

PRINTED ON THE  B-SIDE LABEL AND THE 'STEREO' MISS PRINT ON THE SLEEVE

DON'T MISS THIS ONE.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

I prefer payment by paypal, UK bidders may use a personal cheque.

GOOD LUCK bidding! Brian.

I have noticed that some of the feed back I receive suggests that the P&P charges are high.!!!

I only use the best cruciform boxes and all albums are bubble wrapped and stiffened with card and the vinyl is always out side of the sleeve and in an alternative inner sleeve if appropriate.

I will always charge for full value insurance and first class/signed for/airsure postage and the packaging is always charged at about £1.50.

If you do not want this level of service I can post items out un insured second class and in standard or recycled mailers.

It will be at your own risk, BUT! it is not advised
