Description
For sale from my own collection the classic album by Black Sabbath Paranoid.
Released in 1970 if I remember correctly this is the first issue of the album , the very first pressing of it,
it comes with a standard cover ( not laminated ) and doesnt feature the name of their manager on the inside sleeve credits.
I am not a record dealer and therefore cannot go into great lengths about Matrix numbers etc, and whats this and whats that I would rate the record as Very Good Condition,
It has a few superficial surface scratches on it where the record has been put into the original Vertigo liner over the years.
I last played this all the way through last week there are no jumps , and none of the dreaded everlasting repeat scratches ( if thats what you call them )
Starting at 99p a great buy for a sabbath fan
it is the one where two tracks look like one on side two ( see pictures ) which apparently only first issue had.
if wanting a nearly mint copy then please look elsewhere I have rated this as a conservative Very Good as per the record collector gradings for all I know it may be better than that, but music to me is about listening to records , not whether they have been kept in a sterile environment for 30 years or more.
Cover is intact, no seam splits , minimal ringwear A good example of a 42 year old album!!!
Notes? Released on a Vertigo ''large swirl'' label (on the A side of the inner record label) with the wording ''Vertigo'' listed toward the bottom below the spindle hole (on the B side of the inner record label). The vinyl itself is also unique to the other later pressings (i.e. 2nd, 3rd, and so on). There is no break in between the tracks "Hand of Doom" and "Rat Salad" (i.e. it looks like there are only three songs on the B side of the record when there is actually four songs). On later pressings of this record the tracks "Hand of Doom" and "Rat Salad" are separated into two separate tracks. The cover of this record is non-laminated
