The Albums:
BLACK SABBATH
Black Sabbath’s 1970 debut album that became the blueprint of the genre and set the stage for generations of bands that developed in its wake. Features the killer title track along with the classics “The Wizard” and “N.I.B.” With crushing rhythms, doomy riffs, haunting songs, and Ozzy's other-worldly vocals, the band conjured a dark, menacing, and resonant sound that forever reverberates. Absolutely essential.
PARANOID
The band's seminal 1971 release is a masterpiece. Featuring the scorching “War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” “Faries Wear Boots,” and the title track, this album is the blueprint for modern metal and hard-rock music. Includes original gatefold jacket.
MASTER OF REALITY
Black Sabbath’s third album, which followed the immortal Paranoid, was another archetypal metal/hard rock masterpiece. Now two-times platinum, the album cracked the Top 10 in Billboard, and features sinister Sabbath standouts including “Sweet Leaf,” “Children Of The Grave” and “Lord Of This World”.

The fourth studio album, released in September 1972, was originally to be titled Snowblind, after one of several songs referring to cocaine use, and features several Sabbath classics, such as “Tomorrow's Dream,” “Snowblind,” “Supernaut” and “Changes.”
SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH
The fifth studio album released in 1973 is widely considered to be Black Sabbath's last true classic album. With this album, the band expanded upon their slow, crunching style of music by adding strings, keyboards and more complex orchestral arrangements. Highlights include the riff-mongers “A National Acrobat,” “Killing Yourself to Live,” and “Sabra Cadabra,” as well as the melodic album-closing rocker, “Spiral Architect.”
SABOTAGE
Of Black Sabbath's sixth album, Rolling Stone wrote, 'Sabotage is not only Black Sabbath's best record since Paranoid, it might be their best ever.’ Released in 1975 with unleashed frenzy and raw energy, its highlights include “Hole In The Sky,” “Symptom Of The Universe” and “Am I Going Insane (Radio).”
WE SOLD OUR SOUL FOR ROCK 'N' ROLL (2LP)
This is a super high quality and absolutely beautiful vinyl collector's edition re-issue of the 1975 Greatest Hits collection from the original forefathers of heavy metal, Black Sabbath. We Sold Our Soul for Rock 'n' Roll features the original lineup including Ozzy Osbourne on vocals and the songs are selected from the band's recordings up through 1975. While relying heavily on material from Black Sabbath, Paranoid, and Vol. 4, it also includes four tracks from Sabotage, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Master of Reality.
TECHNICAL ECSTASY
The band's second to last album to feature frontman Ozzy Osbourne, 1976's Technical Ecstasy finds the forefathers of heavy metal experimenting with their signature sound by implementing more keyboards, synthesizers and orchestrations. While the album's lyrics dealt with topics such as drug dealers, prostitution, and transvestites, the music itself was seldom dark, and tracks like "Rock 'n' Roll Doctor" and "It's Alright" (the latter sung by drummer Bill Ward—a decision supported by Ozzy Osbourne), were very different from Black Sabbath's earlier recordings.
NEVER SAY DIE!
After a brief break-up following the Technical Ecstasy tour, Black Sabbath and frontman Ozzy Osbourne reconvened for their swan song Never Say Die!, their eighth studio album and last with Ozzy, released in September of 1978. Osbourne called the release "A very varied album...it's not just steamhammer headbanging stuff all the way through" and the 9-song set ranges from the potent title track to the synthesizer-heavy "Johnny Blade" to the experimental ballad "Air Dance."
