Description

BLACK SABBATH - MASTER OF REALITY - LP 1973 - WWA TRANSITIONAL - POSTER - NEAR MINT - MADE IN UK

RAREST THAN VERTIGO SWIRL 1971 PRESSING

Box-style sleeve with both band name and album title embossed with 6 panel fold out poster.
Dark pink lettering instead of dark purple.
"WWA 008" catalog number on a sticker, stuck over the original Vertigo 6360 050 catalog number.
Sleeve Printed and made by Howards Printers (Slough) Ltd.
Misspelled "Sweet Leaf" as "Sweet Life" on back of cover.

This is a rare, rather uncommon transitional copy of the album. It was released in 1973 when Black Sabbath left the Vertigo label and moved on to WWA-records. The latest Vertigo spaceship-labeled versions came in a box style cover with a pink lettering and the misspelled "Sweet Life", rather than the dark purple lettering on the box sleeve which came with early Vertigo swirl-labeled pressings. When Black Sabbath moved over from Vertigo tot WWA, the very first early issues of this album did NOT yet come in the more common flipback sleeve with the WWA-logo on the front. Yet, they came with old stock Vertigo box sleeves with the pink lettering and the misspelled "Sweet Life". There is a sticker on the back of the cover with the WWA 008 catalog number, which was stuck over the Vertigo catalog number, above the VO Price code.
