BLACK SABBATH, MASTER OF REALITY, 1st UK PRESS, VERTIGO SWIRL, BOX SLEEVE, RARE

This record has been vacuum machine cleaned and test played in full on quality hi-fi. My grading is based on the UK record collector grading system. I will gladly combine postage on multiple items so check out my other records. Thanks

Details:- From my own personal collection - Rare 1971 1st UK pressing of Master of Reality by Black Sabbath. Released on the original Vertigo swirl label, catalogue No. 6360 050. The black and white on the swirl label and the poly-linner inner sleeve was inverted from the stardard Vertigo's on this release. The record comes in the original fully laminated embossed box sleeve and swirl poly-lined inner. Sorry the poster is no longer around.

Vinyl Condition:- VG+ visually but an EX grade sound quality. Gleaming shiny vinyl with a few fine surface hairline marks that do not effect play. Side two had some brief light pops in a couple of places but these are between tracks. Music playback is as an EX grade. The record has been fully tested played on the following. Rega RP3 Deck, Rega Elicit-R Amp, Rega RS5 Speakers

Sleeve Condition:- VG+ or close to EX. The laminate still has nice shine, there is a little lifting around the spine on both the frnt and back but still ok. There are small feathered creases in the laminate around the edges. The bottom edge has some white speckles from wear and the corners just have a very small amount of wear. The spine still stands up well, this sleeve often gets the spine flattened out but this one is fine. The spine text is also fully readable

Label Condition:- EX+ Great condition labels with only one or two faint spindle marks.

Grading Abbreviations

Grading below is as stated from UK Record Collector. I also use +/- for records that fall somewhere between a grade

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G)

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
