Here for sale is an original 1973 issue of the CLASSIC Black Sabbath heavy metal album, MASTER OF REALITY on VERTIGO records….
Master of Reality is the third studio album by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released on 21 July 1971 by Vertigo Records. It is regarded by some critics as the foundation of doom metal, stoner rock, and sludge metal.[3] Produced by Rodger Bain, who also produced the band's prior two albums, Master of Reality was recorded at Island Studios in London from February to April 1971. Guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler downtuned their instruments during the production, achieving what Iommi called a "bigger, heavier sound".[4]
Master of Reality peaked at number five on the UK Albums Chart and number eight on the US Billboard 200.[citation needed] Negatively received by critics on release, the album is now considered one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time. It was certified double platinum after having sold over two million copies.[5]
THE SLEEVE
The original BOX COVER for the album has aged very well with no tears, splits of giant defects. The SPINE is COMPLETELY READABLE.
A solid “EX”!!!
THE VINYL
The original vinyl on the famous SPACESHIP label has aged very well considering most original copies of this are trashed and are STILL AT HIGHER PRICES, so this one is a bargain! Obviously, it has some small defects to it (mostly under a bright light), but not scratches or anything bad! The record plays EXTREMELY WELL also, with LITTLE TO NO CRACKLE! Even the track SOLITUDE, infamous for its contrasting quietness and wear on vinyl pressings, plays STUNNINGLY!!!
I’m happy to say that I have NEVER HAD MANY BETTER!!!
Definitely a nice “EX to EX+” example.
All in all, a GREAT “EX+” copy!
