Description
This ticks all the '1st. Press' boxes. Matrix no's. are, VO6 1Y, and VO6 2Y.
The inner gatefold is black, with no composer/publisher credits inside the cross.
The label has 'A Phillips Record Product' text.
The gatefold sleeve is VG. It is unlaminated, but has a sheen. The front has some mini creases running to the edges, nothing major. There is a small biro'15' in the top left, Pic.3.
The rear is in a similar condition, but has a crescent crease, and a couple of small tears at the opening edge, Pic.4.
The edges, and spine are quite rubbed, but there are no tears, or splits.
The inner gatefold has a crease running vertically, alongside the centre spine.
There is light damage, near the top edges, where, at some point, it has stuck together, Pic.7.
The original poly-lined inner is present. It is lightly creased, with a small tear at the central cut-out, on one side, Pic.8. It has also yellowed, with age.
The vinyl has a few light surface marks, and is graded as VG. It plays better than that for most of the time, but there are some issues with the first track.
'Black Sabbath' opens with some crackles and light clicks. Things quickly improve, but halfway through the track, a few more clicks appear, then a couple of jumps.
It plays through fine, but it is especially annoying, when the rest of both sides play with nothing more than light crackles in the silences, and quiet passages.
The labels are clean, with some spindle marks.
