A wonderful opportunity to own this rare, limited (1,000), double vinyl issue of Biota's Rackabones, complete with folio inserts, in great condition!

Biota are an American avant-rock musical collective who originally formed in 1979 in Fort Collins, Colorado, as the Mnemonist Orchestra

(later the Mnemonists) led by Mark Derbyshire and William Sharp and recorded five albums on their own, self-produced, Dys label. In the

mid-'80s they split into a visual arts group retaining the Mnemonists name and a musical group called Biota.

 

Sleeve: Great gatefold card sleeve with an intricate outer design and simpler pencil sketches on the inside. Very minor bump to lower

lefthand and lower righthand corners, otherwise in great condition! No marks, tears or repairs!

 

Inner Sleeves: Plain, opaque polybags. Intact with no splits, damage or marks!

 

Inserts: 720mm x 245mm with two folds, illustrated both sides, plus six, single-sided 240mm x 240mm illustrations. The

folio is by Mnemonists. Album artwork by: Katsimpalis (centre labels), Tom Katsimpalis (folder insert drawings),

Carol Heineman (folder mezzotints and line etching), Tanya Staab (jacket inside drawings - left), Joy Froding (jacket inside drawings - right),

Peter Lange, Randy Yeates (jacket outside drawings), Mareye Yeates (jacket outside embroidery)

Vinyl: Clean, shiny, unmarked condition! Plays without any major audio faults at normal volume.

 

Labels: Intact and clean with no spindle marks!

 

 

This is just one item from my own extensive and eclectic personal collection of music and related bits and pieces which I will be listing over the next few months, or so.
