Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  TITLE & ARTIST: "Billy Ward and The Dominoes" - by Billy Ward and The Dominoes on the Pink Promo Decca label (DL 8621), in beautiful original monaural sound, issued in 1958. CONDITION: JACKET - VG++(Beautiful "burlap" look cover is unmarked; light wear at lower right corner; back cover has light overall wear - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - VG+(Vinyl is in fine condition, with very light apparent paper scuff marks - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).  SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare original monaural copy of the vintage Billy Ward and Dominoes recordings; pink promo label says "Sample Copy Not for Sale" on each side - with clean clear deep-groove vinyl producing rich and full sound. The spectacular condition of both jacket and vinyl make this an R and B treasure for all time. Don't miss it. TRACKS: To Each His Own, St. Therese of the Roses, September Song, St. Louis Blues, When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, 'Til Kingdom Come, Evermore, I Don't Stand a Ghost of a Chance With You, Am I Blue, Will You Remember, Oh Lady Be Good, and When the Saints Come Marching In. Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck. OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
