This box-set contains The Chatham Singers' vinyl LP entitled Heavens Journey and Billy Childish's book The Man With The Gallows Eyes: Selected Poetry, 1980-2005. The LP was issued by Damged Goods Records, and the book published by The Aquarium Gallery. The two items were combined in a limited edition set of 100 copies, each of which was individually signed and numbered by Billy Childish himself (this example being # 7/100).

The box-set was issued by The Aquarium Gallery in London (which represented Childish at the time) in 2005. The LP-sized box is covered in plain blue cloth, with a paper label attached to the front, which is signed in pencil at the bottom right-hand corner.

Both the book and LP are in Mint (unplayed/unread) condition. The box is likewise As New. The only minor flaw is that the paper label on the front of the box is slightly wrinkled, due the glue used to stick it down. I purchased the set from the gallery in person, and all the copies I saw were similarly flawed (although, needless to say, I chose the best one available!).

I pride myself on packaging records as securely as possible, so rest assured that I will do my utmost to ensure that this item reaches the winning bidder in the condition described above. I always remove records from their sleeves before mailing (to avoid any seam-splitting during transit), I use sturdy custom-made mailing boxes, and make a point of reinforcing the vulnerable corners - the part which always seems to get damaged in the post! In addition to this, I fully waterproof all items, just in case it's raining on the day of delivery. In this instance, I will also ensure that the item is wrapped in a sturdy layer of bubble-wrap before being boxed up.
