BILL EVANS QUINTET - INTERPLAY
A truly excellent condition copy of this UK 1st press1962 jazz rarity, sparingly played with gleaming vinyl and great sounding MONO playback
Year/Label : 1962 UK RIVERSIDELabel number : MONO RLP 445
Matrix numbers : 6 RM 445 1L 1 670 11 3C 21 / 6 RM 00445 2L 2 670 111C 11
1962 UK 1st press jazz rarity on cherished RIVERSIDE label : excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - gleaming, jet black sheen with earliest 1L/2L matrices, just a few extremely faint paper scuffs only detectable with close scrutiny under a bright light, and strictly surface only and purely superficial - clearly this record has been sparingly played; excellent (EX) labels with just a couple of small & very faint spindle trails next to the centre hole on each; excellent (EX) condition front side laminated outer sleeve with firm unscuffed edges, well defined right angled corners with minimal rubbing, no laminate lifting, no creasing, just some minor ageing and a few very light storage marks towards the edges on the reverse side; wonderful audio with no clicks, interference or distortion, and barely any background crackle at all (just the hint of some very minor crackle at the very start of side 2...nothing really) - simply great tone with crystal clear MONO audio quality throughout with Bill Evans & Freddie Hubbard in top form. Comes complete with original plain white "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" poly-lined inner sleeve - no edge splits and remaining fully functional, but does have obvious creasing in the corners. A true jazz classic with these UK 1st press Riverside recordings now highly sought after & becoming very hard to find.
What a remarkable record this is - as the sleeve notes state : "On every track there is wonderful evidence of what can happen when excellent musicians, instead of playing a style, play music". A "must have" for any serious jazz vinyl collection. POSTAGE COSTS :
For the UK £5 using Royal Mail 1st class signed for ;
for continental Europe £14 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,
and for the rest of the world £21 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.
I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.
Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 53 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
