Description

BILL EVANS TRIO

NEW JAZZ CONCEPTIONS--Early Riverside LP

Description: Here's my personal copy of Bill Evans NEW JAZZ CONCEPTIONS---Riverside RLP 12-223---Mono, with Bill Evans, Piano, Teddy Kotick, Bass, and Paul Motian, Drums; (Unaccompanied piano on Side 1#3 and Side 2 #2 and 4) liner notes by Orrin Keepnews. Recorded in New York City, Sept 18 and 17, 1956. Side 1 Tracks: I Love You, Five, I Got it bad and that Ain't Good; Conception; Easy Living; Displacement.  Side 2 Tracks: Speak Low, Waltz for Debby; Our Delight; My Romance; and No Cover, No Minimum.

Condition: The vinyl LP has only been played a few times, and kept in the original sleeve.  I'm no expert on grading LP's, but I have listened to it through before listing it, and there are no skips or notable scratches; there's the surface noise I recall from older lp's (but I haven't attempted to wash it, which might reduce the noise if done properly), and it looks cosmetically untouched.  The cover is slightly scuffed, especially at the edges, but not split. It's been kept upright in my record cabinet since I purchased it in the 1960's.  Lovely music, and a hard-to find record.  I have several other Evans LP's I will be listing in the next few weeks.

Shipping: Media mail shipping is $4.00 to most places in the US. International costs vary with destination, but generally it is between $16 and $20 first class parcel post.
