total klassik from Prince Buster's stable...this features the likes of John Holt, Dennis Brown, Alton Ellis, Little Youth and on top of the ladder Manley Buchanan, known to one and all as the Big Youth...12 tracks of killing early reggae...includes great sounds like "Leggo Beast", "One Day Soon", "Boop", "Shaft", "Revelution Rock", "Revelution Come" and "Leave Your Skeng"...top sounds from when JA still was very young...Original 1972 press on the UK FAB-label comes with front-laminated sleeve...Prince Buster reggae at its very best...I&I tell ya...
WAX condition: ex- / ex-, both sides look great with some light surface marks NOT affecting the play, plays just great w/ only very faintest occasional crackle...Original Leave The Skeng-styleeee!
LABEL condition: A-side perfect / B-side perfect - watch the scan, please!
SLEEVE: comes with FRONT-LAMINATED sleeve very very nice condition, just some general wear, looks great...
Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often). Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being).
And that’s my Vinyl Grading Scale:
EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...)
VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...)
G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...)
P (= just a collection-filler for the hard-edged + hardest-boiled collectors + selectors + all the rudegals out there - P stands for "poor", yunno...)
