BIG STAR 3rd ORIG PRE-SISTER LOVERS PVC VISA RECORDS LP

   From 1978 comes this original PVC/Visa Records pressing of the darkly beautiful LP Big Star 3rd (PVC 7903) with its cover shot of Alex Chilton in the studio (with Jody Stephens pasted in) - as opposed to the early-80's reissue with its blue-tinted shot of Alex's face on the front and "Sister Lovers" added to the title to acknowledge the band name Alex and Jody were contemplating at the time of recording (late 1974), as they were the only two members of the original quartet left by this point.
   The cover is in excellent condition with just a touch of ring wear, some minor corner impacting, and a cut-out notch in its upper left-hand corner.  The LP itself is housed in its original innersleeve (with Pete Tomlinson's liner notes continued from the back cover on one side and another shot of Alex and Jody on the other) and is - amazingly enough - in mint condition.  
   To protect your investment, this LP - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
