BIG JOHN PATTON “Let ‘Em Roll” FIRST PRESSING Blue Note 4239 Mono Vinyl
This is the First Edition, “VAN GELDER” stamped pressing of BIG JOHN PATTON’S “Let ‘Em Roll” on the “New York” labels of Blue Note BLP 4239.
VINYL plays beautifully, mostly quiet, with light surface noise in spots and intermittent pops or ticks. Side 1, #1 8 loud pops, one skip. Overall Ensemble sections are very dynamic, punchy and clear. o locked grooves. No distortion. Weak gloss. Many hairline marks, handful feelable. If you can’t feel it you won’t hear it. The "New York” labels show some wear, stains on Side 1. See photos.
COVER shows ringwear, water damage, stains, corners worn. SPINE AND SEAMS show splits and wear. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 43 West 61st St., New York 23, N.Y.” back jacket shows much water, damage, “Audition Copy” stamp, green marker writing. Please see photos.
