Description
BIG BROTHER & THE HOLDING COMPANY had been around for awhile already, when their manager,CHET HELMS who had also just started a little thing called,THE FAMILY DOG and a cool place for bands to play called,THE AVALON BALLROOM in SAN FRANCISCO,introduced him to a girl he knew from home in Texas by the name of JANIS JOPLIN,and the rest, well in late 1966,they recorded this album which was finally released in spring of 1967 on the MAINSTREAM label,s/6099,this is an original stereo copy, tracks include,"BYE BYE BABY,EASY RIDER,INTRUDER,LIGHT IS FASTER THAN SOUND,CALL ON ME,WOMEN IS LOSERS,BLINDMAN,DOWN ON ME,CATERPILLAR,ALL IS LONELINESS" ....
CONDITION: Very clean, and that's amazing, considering the times and all that, somehow, this hunk of cool vinyl has traveled well, looks like it was played a couple of times, then taped and left on a shelf,I have had it for a couple of years now,and I am afraid to play it because it is so nice, how did it make it this far with shrink wrap still on it? Cover is clean ...
