These tapes belonged to a real quadraphile who, being aware of the scarcity of these items, always made back-ups when he got a Q8 (Quadraphonic 8-track) tape. Hence these are 7" reel-to-reel tapes running at 71/2 ips. Please note: you need a tape player capable of playing 4-tracks simultaneously in order to hear the full 4-track discrete quadraphonic sound. I no longer have such equipment otherwise I'd be keeping them!! Tapes are: PINK FLOYD "WISH YOU WERE HERE", "ATOM HEART MOTHER version 1", "ATOM HEART MOTHER version 2" (This Q8 was too long to go on one reel hence there are TWO versions), "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" (This is the near impossible-to-find U.K. quad version. This tape includes other Quad tracks at the end, probably including "PIGS ON THE WING" long version, but I don't remember) , JOHN LENNON "IMAGINE", NILSSON "SCHMILLSON", MIKE OLDFIELD "TUBULAR BELLS", STEELY DAN "COUNTDOWN TO ECSTASY", STEELY DAN "GAUCHO", PAUL SIMON "THERE GOES RHYMIN' SIMON", "PAUL SIMON", JOE COCKER "JOE COCKER!", RINGO STARR"GOODNIGHT VIENNA" (includes very rare Paul McCartney/Wings Quad track "LIVE AND LET DIE"), THE WHO, L.S.O etc "TOMMY" part 1, "TOMMY" part 2, JUSTIN HAYWARD & JOHN LODGE "BLUE JAYS", JOAN BAEZ "DIAMONS & RUST", JONI MITCHELL "COURT & SPARK", TOMITA "SNOWFLAKES ARE DANCING" and now two real treasures... BEACH BOYS "SURF'S UP" this is NOT from a Q8 (it wasn't released on Q8) but the Dynaco Quad album decoded from a Dynaco (not SQ) decoder. and taped on 4-track reel. Finally, a special project... BEACH BOYS "PET SOUNDS" which I'd guess was done from the boxed set by synching up the "vocals only" tracks with the "intrumental only" tracks. Whatever, I'd guess this is a TOTALLY unique item.
