Description

Classic British freakbeat/R&B recorded at the famous R G Jones studio in Morden in 1964.  The studio often ran out of Oak label blanks when they were pressing acetates, so wrote track/artist details on the disc itself.  On this one, the green lettering is a bit faded, but it reads ‘Hush Hush’, ‘Betterdays’ and then ‘R. Jones Sound’.  The label remains blank on the other side, possibly because Cracking Up isn’t complete (the last twenty seconds or so are missing).  Both sides play through without jumping or sticking, but are pretty noisy.  Judge the sound quality of both sides for yourself via the following links, which are taken directly from the disc that’s for sale:
