                  BEST OF FRIENDS (Joe and Bing)- Daybreak- Best Of Friends was the East Coast-based guitar duo of Bing Bingham and Joe Knowlton. For some reason ROBERTO QUARTIN (legendary bossa nova producer) decided to record/produce this album, with the help of EUMIR DEODATO. Musically a fantastic folk-rock gemm with acid-folk leads. This is the first ever release of what is better known as the highly sought-after “white album” by Joe and bing (which is in fact a reissue of this same elusive Brazilian pressing that started it all!) One of the rarest LP’s issued in Brazil and totally vanished in Brazil and elsewhere. (Last Brazilian seller I saw who had this was asking over 1000$!!!) Here it is, with no reserve, you won’t regret it, it’s a cool keeper!! (Seen in Pokora with 4 or 5 stars)         

The "Brazil Album," released in early 1971, titled Best of Friends. A Brazilian record producer, Roberto Quartin, heard some of the demos Joe and Bing were recording in New York and asked for an album's worth of material.

The best thing to come from this experience was their introduction to Eumir Deodato, a talented arranger, composer, and musician. Eumir wrote several of the arrangements on the record, played some piano, and has been a good friend and supporter ever since. Eumir is probably best known for his hit rendition of "Also Sprach Zarathustra", the theme from Stanley Kubrick's Space Odyssey 2001.
