Description
This is a vintage 1940s set of 4 shellac 78 rpm records - "Hot Jazz Classics" C-31. The artist is Bessie Smith, who was known as the "Empress of the Blues" and one of the most popular jazz singers of the 1930s.
The records in the set are in very well preserved condition. (I don't know how to grade records, so I've taken pictures of the front and back of each for you to examine. I tried to do away with all of the light reflection, but it was impossible, sorry.)
The record album itself has issues. Although the front cover is still attached, the spine is worn away. The back cover is not attached. Fortunately, over the years the printed areas, while not perfect, have aged fairly well. All the interior sleeves are in very good condition.
If you are a collector, the condition of the records I think will make you very happy. If you do not have this 4-record album, bid today!
