Bernard Parmegiani - Chronos( - Philips - 6521 025 - Prospective 21e Siècle - France - 1972
*Works commissioned by the French National Radio and carried out in the studios of its GRM.

Bernard Parmegiani was a French composer best known for his electronic or acousmatic music.. He started off as a sound engineer for French television(ORTF).Originally an actor during the four years studies at Lecoq & Decroux school,he joined the " Groupe de Recherches Musicales"(GRM) in 1959 for a two years master class.His first major work "Violostries" was composed in 1962 for a choregraphy performed for a Théâtre Contemporain d'Amiens directed by Jacques Albert Cartier... Pierre Schaeffer gave him the direction of the Musique-Image departement at ORTF.During that period he composed for numerous film directors,such as R.Lapujade,P.Kalmer,P.Kast,J.Baratier..He furthermore extended his musical researches into the field of video-art after a journey through the U.S.A.He directed three musical videos when he returned : L'Oeil écoute(1973),Jeux d'artifices(1973) for the research departement of ORTF & l'Ecran transparent(1979) during his residency in Köln at West Deutscher Rundfunk(WDR). He interest also expanded to llive performance : in the 70s he interacted with jazz artists for improv sessions with B.Vitet or M.Portal and went to London to perform with The Third Ear Band!!!... He craeted also numerous jingles & soundbites for public radio stations( France-Culture),public television service & the Aéroport de Roissy!!!.. He also composed music for stage ( dance & theater),screen & other media (radio,television)... One of the best French electroacoustic composer!!!!...
Vinyl in perfect shape,probably plays a very few times!!!!.Plays excellent on two sides!!!!! Cover have minor damage on a corners,minor folds front/back. One small sticker code : U on top right back. Very nice copy!!!..and probably one of the rarest and hardest to find in the series : "Prospective 21e Siècle"....
