A- Eddie Benitez's story is full of contrasts: a classical trained child prodigy turned Latin Rock superstar while hanging out in his teen years with the likes of Charlie Palmieri (his guardian angel, as he still names him), Louie Ramirez, Tito Puente and pretty much all the crew from the Fania All- Stars...and making a name for himself while at it. His debut album for Fania(Vaya), 'Night Life,' brought him to the spotlight in 1976, earning his band Nebula rave reviews and the propos of many of his peers, including names like George Benson, Al DiMeola and Carlos Santana. He also has the distinction of being the first Latino act ever to be featured at the mythical GBGB's. His career, not to mention his life, was screech halted twice, first with cancer and most recently this past. November when a massive heart attack almost swept him from us. He finally passed away in NY January 2019! 

B- Excellent stuff from Eddie Benitez and his jazzy Latin soul combo of the 70s! The band had a very unique blend of Latin fusion, jazzy musicianship, and soulful vocals – and in a way, they were continuing experiments begun in the early days of the Nuyorican era, but which had been cast aside by some of the other groups. This album's a real winner, with the kind of material sure to please any fan of the Soul Jazz compliations – including tracks like "Hermano", "Soul's Ecstasy", "Nueva Generation", and "Eternal Paradise".  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.

M- : A record in this condition appears absolutely unplayed and will bear no marks, sleeve scuffs, or scratches. We seldom use this grade.

VG++ (Excellent) : A record in this condition may have one or two visible imperfections, but these will be of a purely cosmetic nature (i.e. sleeve scuffs or other superficial marks) and will not affect play, of course, no skips, no significant noise or clicks. A VG++ record will have no scratches.

VG+ : A record in this condition will have a few visible imperfections. These may include sleeve scuffs, superficial marks, and very light scratches if any. The presence of a single light scratch is enough for us to grade an otherwise markless record VG+; a VG+ record will have no more than a few such scuffs or scratches.

VG : A record in this condition will show the kinds of imperfections found on VG+ records but in slightly greater numbers. There may be a number of light scratches and other marks, but a VG record will not bear any scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. TO BE SOLD AS IS!

VG- : A record in this condition will have a number of visible imperfections; the presence of a considerable number of light scratches will force us to give a record this grade, as will the presence of even one scratch deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. TO BE SOLD AS IS!
