Description

Released as Atco Records 33-233, Bee Gees - "Horizontal" lp, test pressing.  Recorded in the latter half of 1967 and released in early 1968, this was the BG's second album.  Includes the hits "World" and "Massachusetts".  Great psych-pop album, often quite melancholy.  This ultra-rare test pressing has hand-typed laminated labels with "Atlantic Recording Studios" printed across the top.  If you look closely you can see the words "test pressing" on the labels under the affixed ones.  To think that back in the day it was someone's job to actually hand-type these labels and glue them on by hand!  The vinyl retains most of its original gloss and luster, but also has a lot of light scuffs and hairline scratches, none of which are deep enough to be felt.  I listened to both sides of the album and it plays vg+ with some very light surface noise mostly only noticable between the songs and during quieter passages.  The music is strong and clear with just a few occasional light ticks and pops which are not loud or overly distracting.  I believe this is a stereo copy.  The numbers in the dead wax on side one are C-12727 and on side two are C-12728-B.  This album comes in a plain white cover.  A true rarity!

I have other great record listings in progress and will gladly combine shipping.  Each additional item is shipped free of charge!

International Shipping:  If your record is of any significant value, I would suggest using Priority Mail International ($28) as this includes insurance.  First Class International ($15) is slower and does NOT include insurance.  Each additional 12" record is $3.  I am not responsible for overseas' shipments lost in the mail.

Grading:  I pride myself on my honesty and accuracy in grading.  Albums are visually graded unless otherwise noted.
