INFO : This debut effort is straight out the ‘difficult to find top drawer‘ of obscure Aussie material.
A follow-up 45 appeared a year later with no other material recorded available in any format.
Songwriters David Burnette & Lee Cutelle reappeared in a new outfit “Branded” who cut one impossible to find Infinity single in 1978. Cutelle later released a solo single in 1986.Considered a seminal and extremely rare 1976 release that ranks up there with the Holy Grail of Aussie Power-Pop.
The A- Side here is an astounding piece of short, catchy, hook-filled pre-punk / power-pop. The group, producer and arranger do a terrific job here with horns and great multitracked vocals punctuating the lines along with the whispered backing vox. Whilst ‘Judy’ is the undeniable hit, ‘Paper Chains’ is no slouch either – great innocent 1970s pop, this time with a glammy, power-chord driven middle-eight stomp.
CONDITION:
· Vinyl : Side A : Strong EX+. No marks of note. Glorious shine and plays through perfectly with no issues at all. Side B : Duller in appearance (light hazing) , no other marks and played less than a handful of times only. Superb sound with no audio issues at all. Overall : Lightly Played. Both songs track along sweetly with excellent dynamics, fantastic clarity difficult to fault playback wise at all.· · POSTAGE : I pack safely & securely and combine postage costs for multiple items.
