Description

Very rare promotional copy of Yesterday and Today, original MONO (this is NOT a butcher cover).
PROMO "PROM" Punched into upper right corner of cover (and the inner sleeve!). Cover is overall about VG+ with some yellowing and few small bubbles under front slick. Seams are all intact.
Record is VG+ condition with a couple tiny scuffs and hairlines. There are no promotional markings on the record itself.
Scranton, PA plant pressing with “IAM" triangle stamped in the inner groove.
This promo copy came from the collection of famous WWDC radio station disk jockey Carroll James (aka "The Man Who Broke The Beatles") who was instrumental in the rise of Beatlemania in the US. He was the first DJ to play the Beatles extensively on the radio, forcing Capitol records to release Meet The Beatles six weeks early in the US to meet demand. He was gifted with the chance to interview the Beatles which he released on a 45. James was also the emcee for their first US concert in Washington DC!
I have other records from his collection listed - see my other listings.
