A piece of history: one of the most creative, inventive, subversive, funny, not to mention impeccably composed, crafted, played, arranged and produced albums of all time. This is the album that sent Charles Manson off the deep end, but don't worry. There is hardly a sinister overtone here. These 30 tracks (count 'em) are a monument to harmony and heartfelt emotion, even where such emotion is sarcasm or parody. By far my favorite Beatles album, and probably the one to outshine Sergeant Pepper. This rare double set hardly ever comes with the poster included. (a)            WE GRADE THE VINYL AS NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs - are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible, and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)            The album comes with the original poster still intact.

(c)             The album comes with the original BONUS photos included

(d)            The records are pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(e)             US Mono copies of this album are NOT known to exist.

(f)              Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD++ (VG++).

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 3.

-         Cover shows JUST A HINT of yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging. Yellowing is also noted on the INSIDE gatefold

-         Cover has one corner slightly worn / frayed / bent (just a beginning of the split seam)

-         Cover has a few yellowish dust speckles scattered here and there (these tiny spots are not overly obtrusive or distracting)

-         Back cover has a small peel-off mark, probably from the careless removal of the price sticker (less than 1 square inch in size).

-         No cut-out (drill) holes.

-         No cut-out corners

-         No saw-marks or indents

-         No wrinkles or creases

-         No yellowing from aging
