Description
BEATLES WHITE ALBUM 2-LP CANADIAN CAPITOL EX+/EX condition.
On offer is THE BEATLES 2-LP entitled THE BEATLES (aka The WHITE ALBUM) released in CANADA on Capitol SWBO-101. This is a lovely EX+/EX condition 2-LP set.
This Canadian WHITE ALBUM comes complete with the lyrics / photo montage Poster and the 4 Photos of the John, Paul, George and Ringo. These Photos are still un-perforated which is a rarity these days. Unlike the UK Issue the CANADIAN 2-LP presented the 4 photos joined together rather than issued as 4 separate photos. These had the appearance of being almost like 4 large-size stamps (without the glue on the reverse!) and were perforated (just like stamps). These photos were invariably separated and perhaps pinned to bedroom walls: BUT not these ones which are still intact (see scans).
The condition of this 2-LP is as follows:-
· The un-perforated PHOTOS are in EX condition (there is a small crease in the centres).
· The lyrics/photo montage POSTER is in EX condition.
· The gatefold sleeve only has THE BEATLES on the front and back of it: the rest is white! It has a nice spine and is lovely EX condition. It looks like a label may have been removed from the top right hand corner – but this has not left any noticeable stains or marks.
· The inner section of the gatefold sleeve is in lovely EX+ condition too: and is similar to the UK: same inner photos: same track listing.
· The disc labels are in lovely EX+ condition – with no spindle marks at all. The discs have only been played a few times each. The label misspells ROCKY RACOON whereas the inside of the gatefold sleeve correctly spells the track as ROCKY RACCOON.
· The discs are housed in plain white inners.
· The vinyl is as follows: Side 1: superb EX+ condition / Side 2: superb EX+ condition / Side 3: lovely EX condition with some minor surface marks/ Side 4: EX condition with one noticeable mark on Revolution 1/ Honey Pie that does not affect play.
· I have test played these 4 LPs for the first time in years and they all sound lovely with a full dynamic range on my hi-fi.
IN summary this is a LOVELY EX+ / EX condition example of the BEATLES WHITE ALBUM as released in Canada. It has been very well looked after over the years as part of my personal collection and has been kept in a plastic sleeve.
