BEATLES UK  –  ABBEY ROAD LP - MISALIGNED APPLE – First Press.

1969 PCS 7088 -  APPLE RECORD LABEL.

An original UK first press album in 100% original condition featuring a   Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve.

The track ‘ Her Majesty ’ is printed on the record label and plays on the record  but is NOT listed on the sleeve !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in  very good condition, the sleeve is fully laminated.  The spine is thin and in   very good condition and all the text  is clear.    This is a  very first pressing of this Album and it  features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !.   EMI were quick to correct this and the later sleeves had the Apple logo aligned with the song listing !. It is odd that the song  ‘ Her Majesty ’   DOES NOT appear on the sleeve but the song DOES appear on the record label  and DOES play on the record !.  There are NO stains,   Pen writing,  there is  a small   ‘ nick ’  5mm,   on One side of the opening edge.

THE INNER SLEEVE:    is in excellent condition,  and it is the original period  white sleeve with  a   ‘ Patent no. 1,125,555’   on it.  The sleeve is very white and clean with NO stains, Pen writing or tears  and NO edge rubbing wear.

THE VINYL:  is in excellent condition   and as this is a  first pressing it is made from thick, heavy vinyl.    The vinyl is  very dark and  glossy.

The Matrix is:       YEX  749 - 2    and    YEX 750 – 1,

The Mother/Stampers are :    4    O H A     and    3    M P A.

THE AUDIO:   side One is  excellent  and on side Two the audio  is  near excellent as  it  plays well  but with a little crackle.    The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and plays without the needle sticking or jumping.

THE LABELS:  side One is in very good condition,  side Two is in excellent condition and being a first pressing shows  a DARK Green Apple,     the song ‘ Her Majesty ’  is printed on the  record label, but is NOT printed on the  sleeve !
