Description
BEATLES UK – A HARD DAYS NIGHT, ‘Know’ mispress Stereo.
PCS 3058 – Original Black and Yellow Parlophone labels.
A UK LP featuring:
A rare mispress Stereo label on side one, as the track ‘I should have known better’ has been mispressed as ‘I should have know better’ !
On the record sleeve the song title of the track ‘ I should have known better’ is spelt correctly.
Curious that the main sleeve is a Mono sleeve, I don’t know how a Stereo record got into a Mono sleeve but the sleeve is the correct sleeve for the period ie flipback circa late 1964-early 1965, with its mid size Mono logo to the top right front. Also the condition of the sleeve is in line with the record, this could have been a factory error, but I cannot prove this.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: the front laminated MONO PMC 1230 sleeve is in very good++ condition. The spine is in very good condition and all the text is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has remained a good clean white in colour. The rear of the sleeve has the period tri flipback design. Theres NO pen writing, splits, stickers or sticker residue.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the correct period original EMI sleeve, with its original ‘Patents applied for’ text. The sleeve has NO splits, stains, pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue.
THE VINYL: side one is in excellent+ condition, side two is in excellent condition, the vinyl is very clean, dark and very glossy and shows very little signs of play.
The matrix nos. are: YEX 126 – 1 and YEX 127 – 1,
The Mother/Stampers are: ‘ 2 M O ’ and ‘ 2 A O ’.
THE AUDIO: is excellent and plays with excellent quiet ‘run ins’ there is very little to spoil the listening pleasure. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and does NOT stick or jump.
THE LABELS: are in excellent++ condition and possible show just one play !. As mentioned above, side one has a rare mispress Stereo label, as the track ‘ I should have known better’ has been mis spelt as ‘I should have know better’ ! The letters ‘ K T ’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two on the label. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the labels.
