From my own collection; while in my "Music Business Days" two copies were given to me by my dear friend "Carter" (Producer; Tina Turner, Capitol Records), I'd like to keep one!

OKay folks, here it is! The very first pressing in all it's wonderful glory! In mono, the GENUINE first pressing repackaged as "Songs, Pictures and Stories of the Fabulous Beatles" with the 'legendary' 8-inch 'gatefold' cover. Pressed on black glossy vinyl and presented on the Vee-Jay label with a color spectrum band along the outer label's edge.

The auction winner will love the sound of this one;

even with the few superficial 'hair-like' scratches that DO NOT AFFECT the listening experience, the intense mono sound definitely punches through.

"The tremendous success of the Beatles in 1964 led to numerous repackagings of their material by the independent labels that had taken a chance on them early on when Capitol, their nominal American label, initially passed on its option in 1963. While it still controlled American rights to the Beatles' first album, Please Please Me, which it had issued in abridged form as Introducing The Beatles in 1963, Vee Jay now released a slightly different abridgement under the title Songs, Pictures and Stories of the Fabulous Beatles. (IMPORTANT NOTE: We grade ALL records under a strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight).

•  WE GRADE THE VINYL AS STRONG VG+ to VG++ (STRONG VERY GOOD+ to VERY GOOD++). CAUTION>The vinyl is not MINT or NEAR-MINT, but is nevertheless in a very nice and clean condition. There are some surface marks and light superficial 'hair-like' scratches, some longer than 1.1/4 inches - quite surface (1 inch = 2.5 centimeters) they DO NOT AFFECT THE LISTENING EXPERIENCE. The original luster is very much in tact, and the vinyl is beautiful. In regards to this LP; only the beautiful quality of the music comes through.
• **WE FOUND NO AUDIO IMPERFECTIONS WHILE PLAYING THIS LP**.
• The record is pressed on beautiful, THICK, semi-flexible vinyl. This vinyl was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such vinyl pressings is full-bodied, bright and rich in quality. 
• Quality speaking, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior digital recording!! 
• Beautiful, clean labels.
• Record comes in 'HI-GRADE' MFSL PVC INNER SLEEVE (FOR PROTECTION).

CONDITION OF THE 'UNIQUE GATEFOLD' COVER:

COVER SHOWS SOME WEAR; AND GRADED GOOD to VG- (VERY GOOD-) (VERY GOOD MINUS)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

• Cover has some wear on corners with (CAUTION>)one corner showing a small tip cut (tip is missing approximately 2 inches). On our scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the total corner wear as a 3.
• Cover shows the slightest ring impression (back only);  on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as a 2 (back).
•  
• Cover shows some graying/fading/storage wear. On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of graying/storage wear as a 5.
•  
• Cover shows some wrinkle/crease wear (CAUTION>); 3-4 wrinkles on front appear to be 2-3 inches long (1 inch = 2.5 centimeters). On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of wrinkle/crease wear as a 4.
•  
• Cover shows some seam/spine wear (both seams and spine show 'graying'/peeling. On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of seam/spine wear as a 6.
•  
• The seams show a very thin amount of scotch tape. CAUTION>The 'inner-gatefold' shows a split approximately 4 inches in length (1 inch = 2.5 centimeters). Please see picture below.
