From my own collection; during my "Music Business Days" two copies were given to me by my dear friend "Carter" (Producer; Tina Turner, etc., Capitol Records), I'd like to keep one!

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

THIS SOLID BLACK  LABEL,

WITH SILVER PRINT

(V-J WITHOUT BRACKETS)

WAS THE ORIGINAL LABEL USED ON THIS ALBUM

Besides this ORIGINAL Black label, a SECOND label was introduced (with colorband), at a later date. This second colorband label showed VJ with brackets.

THE VINYL IS STUNNING; GRADED STRONG NEAR-MINT

CONDITION OF THE RECORD:

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, we grade ALL records under a strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight).

NOTED; This LP has been 'Play Graded'.

    SPECIFICS;

    (Side 1 & Side 2 )

    Are GORGEOUS; Graded: STRONG NEAR-MINT. The Original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new. (CAUTION>); Be forewarned: minimal, tiny, surface 'sleeve scuffs' seen under BRIGHT LIGHT ONLY. If you are a rigorous and demanding collector, you may say one or so 'sleeve-scuffs' may be very light, superficial, 'hair-like' scratches. You won't hurt our feelings, but, we however, do not see any scratches! Just stellar gleam! Beautiful, wear-free 'mono' labels.

    • The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, semi-flexible vinyl. This vinyl was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such vinyl pressings is full-bodied, bright and rich in quality.
    • Quality speaking, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior digital recording!!
    • Beautiful, wear free, Vee-Jay Record's labels.

    THE COVER IS VERY NICE; GRADED STRONG VG+ to VG++

    CONDITION OF THE COVER:

    Open the 'GATEFOLD', the last 1/2 to 1/4 'pull' remains stiff, meaning that opening it has been minimal over the years. The gatefold has no splits. The two corner tips along the spine (only) showing some 'gray'. Bottom right has a very small tip bend. A few, very light, tiny wrinkles (seen only under bright light), and a very thin line of 'gray' seen off spine. Front/back shows little 'gray' wear on black (back shows a bit more than front). The back cover leaves no doubt that Vee-Jay was marketing this LP to young girls/women. Below each picture of the 'Fab Four' the phrase, "RINGO LOVES" and a blue heart containing the phrase 'picture here'. The same is true for each of the other three pictures with their respective names. The condition of this set is 'top notch'. The cover is quite clean with little wear. The best we've seen. A nice find for a collector. The spine, which usually comes along in a white/black peeling disaster, is just about solid as can be. The exceptions being the very corners showing wear, with a very slight fading over stock number. The mono recording is in strong Near-Mint condition. Solid black label, Side 1, shows (maybe), one only very light spindle scuff and that's only seen under a bright light. Side 2 black label is perfect! No spindle marks seen even under a light! The vinyl is gorgeous! Both sides...looks as if played, perhaps, once. Luster comes shining through.

    Vinyl and labels on this record are truly gorgeous!

    In regards to flaws, I know it's very important being specific; I will do the very best I can;

    The following flaws or imperfections are found on the cover:

  • Cover shows the slightest of ring impression (back only). On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring impression wear (back only) as a 1.
    • Cover shows very little corner wear (tip wear only). The two corner tips on the spine side show a bit more wear, with each tip showing a bit of 'gray on black' (seen on most 'aged' black corners ~ NOT significant). We see a very small beginning tip bend (one corner only) on bottom right corner . On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of corner tip wear as a 1>.
    • Cover shows little ''gray aging" wear (probably from storage over the years). A bit more 'graying' off spine corners (the rest of spine remains sharp black without any imperfection), and runs, just a bit into the 'shown' LP number VJ 1092 ~ NOT significant ~ entire number is still intact. Just a bit more 'gray' is seen on back than front. On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of 'gray aging' wear as a 2.
    • Cover shows 'little wrinkle' wear; a few, very small, wrinkles come off the 'spine', again, not significant ~ many will not see this. On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of 'wrinkle' wear as a <1 (off spine only).
    • Cover seams ~ (top seam only), shows the start (beginning only) of a small split (open end). This split is about 1/10th of an inch in length (1/10th inch = .25 centimeters). Both seams; there may be a 'white on black' pin spot here and there (NOT significant ~ many will not see this). On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of seam wear, as a 1.
