Description
From 1967, out of the UK, come The Beatles with their album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on Parlophone PMC7027 MONO UK. Scarce first press MONO which has the Parlophone print and emblem in yellow on the label. It has the UK "Subject to..." disclaimer also on label and the perimeter print reads,"The Gramophone Co.Ltd." The album is a laminated gatefold manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. When you open the gatefold the pictures of The Beatles are inside as well as the cover flaps on the inside. There is also the red and white psychedelic inner sleeve reading "Made in Great Britain" and the Sgt Pepper cut-out sheet also printed in the UK! Some people have substituted American sleeves and cut-outs for missing UK ones!
Lamination folds and stress marks on front cover.
VG++ cover, record has spindle marks and is better than VG+ but not quite VG++!!
