Description

Here is the exceptionally rare Mono example of The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."
Initial issues of SPLHCB on Capitol have track 2 on Side 1 incorrectly titled "A Little Help From My Friends" instead of "With A Little Help From My Friends."
This error was subsequently corrected on all Stereo and Mono issues of Pepper's. However, since most if not all U.S. record companies were ceasing to press and issue Mono recordings in 1967 very few Mono pressings of SPLHCB have surfaced with the corrected title on the label!!!
The very scarce example offered today is a Scranton pressing, MAS-2653.
There is NO MacLen or NEMS printing found on the back cover indicating a first cover issue.
The record is housed in the unique nuance Psychedelic inner sleeve. Ah, but this sleeve may be a one-off. It has an inner sleeve securely attached inside the nuance sleeve. I've not seen one quite like this!
The cut-out insert is also included.

Please don't miss the opportunity to own one of the more desirable Beatles collectibles.

Fully Play Graded:   VG++ / Near Mint. The record does have a quick jump on the track, "When I'm 64" due to a tiny scratch. The remainder of this record presents with excellent sound!  The surface is in excellent condition!

Labels: Mint minus a small x on Side 1.

Cover:  VG+.
