BEATLES SERGEANT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND ORIGINAL UK MONO G/F LP WITH GRAMOPHONE CO LTD SOLD IN UK LABEL, RED & WHITE INNER SLEEVE, CUTOUT INSERT. Original UK mono gatefold LP, release date 1967 on the Parlophone label, catalogue number: PMC7027 Matrix nos: side1) XEX637-1 side 2) XEX638-1 Condition of cover/record: NEAR MINT / VG+ (Grading as used by Record Collector) The cover is laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse. The cover is in STUNNING condition – for completeness I will, as usual, mention even minor imperfections: there is a ½ inch (approx) curved crease on the front cover and one three-inch (approx) curved crease on the rear cover. There is a very faint ‘ring’ mark on rear, but this only extends around ¼ of the rear cover; there is a very faint ‘ring’ mark on the front, but this is even less – just a 3 inch area at the top (these rings are only noticeable under bright light - they are extremely faint). There is no wear to the cover edges, no splaying of open edge, no writing or tears or stickers. The inner gatefold is immaculate, as is the cut out insert, and the inner sleeve, which is the red & white original – see photos. The spine is in perfect condition, with perfect print. The inner sleeve is the original red & white one, also included is the cutout insert – see photo- both are in perfect condition, with no writing, tears or creasing. The two labels each have some light spindle marks. The record: side1) has some crackles on most tracks, but no annoying loud clicks or pops – this side is graded overall VG+, but some tracks play better than this grading; side 2) plays better, and is graded overall EX – there are also some crackles on this side, but again no annoying loud clicks or pops. This record was cleaned and played before the auction to ensure accuracy of description. This item has no reserve on it, & is from my personal collection.
